things i'm craving for right at the moment. going to list them down. no particular order. by the way i hit the big 4-0. weight wise. wich is extremely depressing and humblign news. maybe roderick's scale aint too accurate. then again. howell. :( oh yes. i will do that tag thing soon. just not now when my brains at half its usual function.

1. ikea meatballs. (i just went wit rod and englye but apparently that just aint enough. must go again. haha. )

2. rice a roni! instant food rox! i did make some really satisfying rice a roni with charles the other day. ( you could find that stuff at liberty)

3. Duck rice from Lim Seng Lee Duck rice stall!!! OMG it is HEAVELY i tell you. that rich sauce just the right amount dribbled over freshly cooked rice. this rich sauce... of just the perfect consistency also used on the boneless tender and yet lean duck meat. with soya sauce egg. and the best kangkong ever. plus oh so smooth tofu. OHHHHH. heaven. oh. the upper thomson duck rice aint too bad either. the one at longhouse.

4. No signboard seafood. YES! chilli and white pepper crab! butter crab! whatever really. and their fish is fantastic

5. Li Hwa beer garden at taman jurong. FANTASTIC stuff i tell you. tze cha. VERY tasty thta may leave you extremely thirsty. but they also have lotsa ice cold green tea that would quench your thirst so that isnt much of an issue. the fried rice is the best. plus their sambal kangkong.... practically just as good as lim seng lee's. their secret? copious amounts of garlic... always works.

6. Lavender street wan ton mee. the best wanton mee in singapore (though i hvent tried every stall in singapore...) based on the normal average standard though, it is a cut above the rest.... the makan sutra and various other food connoisseurs agree with me! small servings though... but good. makes you want more. their sauce is not the usual black sauce type. honestly i dont know what they use but i hear ikan bilis is a common ingredient in good wanton mee soup. onions too! small but tender and cooked just right wantons. veggie also good enough to eat. and the noodles and sauce. killer. omg. i lovee love love. and craving for this... one of the strongest! best part? less than $3 can provide this much satisfaction.

7. bee hoon. good old bee hoon. oily oily bee hoon with bits of cabbage and carrot. and a bit of hay bee. tiny bit. ideal breakfast material. in small portion. with luncheon meat and fish fillet.

8. pizza huts spicy drumlets. honestly... i would love to go work at pizza hut so i can steal this recipe! cooked tender... the marinate has just the right combination of sweetness and saltiness and spiciness.

9. pesto pasta. unfortunately i only got to try that once at pasta mania before they took it off the menu. boo :(

10.swissotel's pine nuts scallop and asparagus. one of the best dishes that i remembered.

11. broccoli and cheese soup in perth. oh. really give me any soup. pumpkin soup... potato and leek, minestrone, french onion, OHH.

12. BK breakfast egg and ham croissanwich. YUM. the croissant... buttery soft. and it brings out the egg and cheeese very nicely. the ham is subtle yet adds substance to the whole combination.

13. Cafe at the Quad's chicken pie. small but very powerful stuff. good for staying awake at lectures.

14. some very hot chawanmushi with crab meat and sharks fin (sorry daphne and charles!)

ok. stop daydreaming already. i shall go for the food fair at expo tmr where my darling bf is working his poor ass off. and wearing this awfully pink shirt that says 'guangdong' and 'ji xiang'. hahaha. aww. shall go buy some of his nuts. lol.

you are a loser at 1:58 AM
